Plant Biography

Originating from South America, Spathiphyllum were first introduced to Europe from the jungles of Colombia in 1824.

Many different cultivars of S. wallisii are available today, but ‘Sensation’ is by far the largest of them. Growing huge, deep-green leaves and rewarding you with the familiar white Peace Lily flowers, this is a must-have for that tropical indoor look.

Enjoys moist well drained soil with composted organics and some drainage material.

Care & Size Guidance

Care & Size Guidance

Spathiphyllum wallisii var. ‘Sensation’ prefers filtered, indirect light but can tolerate fairly low-lit positions. Remove old and yellow stems regularly and wipe down the large leaves with a damp cloth once a month to keep it looking its best.

Spathiphyllum prefer humid environments so a kitchen or bathroom would be ideal. Take care not to overwater, particularly in the colder months.

Feed with a houseplant fertiliser from April to September.
