Rhapis excelsaLady Palm, Bamboo Palm
Lady Palm is a very attractive palm, growing clustering upright stems that are clothed in fibre and from which are held, often for the full length of the stem, the short, glossy, dark-green fan leaves. It is another highly adaptable palm that it is possible to grow and enjoy in the house preferring low light levels and tolerating dry atmosphere. Its compact size and slow growth add to the appeal. A position at the back of the conservatory or greenhouse will suit it down to the ground. Rhapis excelsa is not known in the wild, only from cultivated plants.

Palm trees are one of the most popular choices for indoor plants to grow. They provide the majestic beauty of a tropical garden and the ease of care. The less mature palms can be used as a desk plant for a small office and even in bathrooms of some homes.
An inevitable problem encountered by growing palms indoors is the amount of dust that builds up on the leaves over time.
The soil in the pots should be kept moist and never be allowed to dry out. During the summer months you will be watering as much as twice per week to maintain moisture levels, whereas in winter you should water sparingly.

What a fabulous palm plant. We ordered this plant to add a little life to our business decor and it has done just that. The Palm Centre have been a delight to deal with and the quality of this palm is far more than we hoped it would be. We will be back for more. David - www.river-studio.com
The palm I received is a tall, excellent specimen with nice form and colour and looks very healthy. It arrived quickly, well packaged and in perfect condition. This is one of a total of 3 palms I ordered and I am very pleased with all three. I will be ordering more from Palm Centre.
Beautiful strong healthy plants - I have ordered four to date and the standard never wavers. Delivery is prompt and the plants are well packaged. Five star service.
I have been looking for a good example of this now somewhat rare plant for a long time ; I was not disappointed with the service or the plant I received. Very pleasant contact with staff members and the plant they sent was strong, green and crisply fresh. Price for the plant was excellent, carriage to N.Ireland had a surcharge but delivery was almost instant. If I have anything negative to say it would merely be to suggest they offer a range of sizes to include small plants that can be displayed as in Japan
Bought a lady palm from the palm centre on a visit to London in 1993 this palm is still growing and in very good condition, great palm highly recommended
Excellent, compact palm for the home. I've had it a few months now and it is growing numerous new leaves.
super value and in first class condition many thanks
I am overjoyed to find these quite uncommon palms at such a good price. The two I ordered arrived promptly, well packaged, in A1 condition and every bit as good looking as the Palm Centre website photos indicate.
