Asplenium scolopendrium

Hart`s Tongue Fern

Asplenium scolopendrium - 5Ltr pot
Hart's Tongue Fern is a pretty native fern seen studding damp banks in woodland throughout the UK and much of Europe. The beauty lies in their simple pale green fronds that seem to illuminate anywhere they grow. Tolerant of extreme drought conditions, they are often seen peeking out from rock crevices or even mortar joints in old brick walls - a clue to their love (but not demand) of lime. However they are never at their best unless given a decent supply of moisture - planted in drifts under shrubs or a taller canopy in moist soil Asplenium scolopendrium will sparkle.

Good healthy plant, not huge, but in good condition.
