Plant Biography
Thaumatophyllum xanadu is often thought to be a hybrid or cultivar, but is actually a natural variety from the rainforests of Brazil. Thaumatophyllum xanadu is commonly confused with its close relative, the philodendron selloum (Thaumatophyllum selloum).

Size & Care Guidance
It has proved to be exceptionally tolerant of many different conditions indoors, from a relatively sunny position to deep shade beneath larger specimens. As long as it isn’t too sunny or the air too dry Thaumatophyllum xanadu will reward the grower with easy-care lushness.
T.xanadu enjoy humid conditions where available, so providing your plants with an extra source of humidity will always be appreciated. Try placing the plant near a humidifier or in a naturally more humid room like a bathroom or kitchen.
Fertilise with every watering when the plant is growing. Use a mild balanced fertiliser.
T.xanadu can prove fussy when repotted too often. Move to a larger pot only when the plant is pot bound, this may mean every 2-3 years.
