Alocasia cucullata

Gorgeous, glossy heart-shaped leaves with slender tapering tips and prominent veins are arranged in an elegant formation on long green stems. Perfect for a warm room with good humidity, in bright indirect light.
This understated plant often grown around Buddhist temples in its native Thailand and Laos, where many know it as ‘Buddha’s hand’ and believe it to bring good fortune.
More modest in growth than some of its gargantuan cousins, cucullata nevertheless reaches a respectable 45-90cm and is fairly fast growing in the right conditions.
