£14.95

Euphorbia amygdaloides ‘Robbiae’ is an evergreen herbaceous perennial with whorls of shiny, dark green leaves carried on upright stems and from which, in spring, are held upright heads of yellow-green flowers that contrast brightly with the dark foliage.

Many perennials are great for either spring or fall colour, but few offer interest throughout the colder months like Mrs Robb’s Bonnet.

Care Size & Guidance

Spreading easily to form excellent ground cover even in dry shade, this is also a native plant that is excellent for pollinators.

It spreads robustly via underground runners and can soon form weed smothering colonies – even in dry, rooty soil in the shade of trees – a purpose for which it is invaluable.

Can be easily kept in check for smaller spaces. Like all spurges, all parts are poisonous and the milky sap can be irritant.

Expert Tip

The Euphorbia amygdaloides spreads rapidly via underground rhizomes and may become invasive if not kept under control. Make sure to remove the roots that are spreading outside the area where you plan to keep this plant to prevent it from taking over beds or borders.
