Nearly all of the ferns we sell are home grown, here at our Ham nursery. Come and see them growing! We produce them in big 3 litre (8”diameter) pots. This produces a much bigger, much fuller plant than the smaller 2L pots normally available elsewhere. If you don’t agree they are brilliant value we’ll refund your money immediately!.. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . What a charming common name! The leaves are indeed, tongue-like and entire, with ruffled edges, a bright mossy green in colour. This is a native of Europe (including the UK) and looks great in a shady border, perhaps mixed with other ferns where it will provide contrast in both leaf shape and colour. Grows to a couple of feet tall, prefers alkaline soil though will grow in others, and is happiest in shady conditions, to keep the leaves fresh-looking.
