Cotoneaster dammerii, commonly known as the bear berry, is an attractive ground cover plant growing to around 1 foot tall. It works well as a backdrop to colourful borders and can be trained to grow flat against a wall. It produces small red berries in the autumn which extend its ornamental appeal once the leaves have dropped. Prefers full sun to partial shade and will grow happily in a variety of soil types.
