Perhaps the most attractive small Agave, with its hard, triangular, grey-green leaves marked with the white outline of the succeeding leaf. Very hardy in the UK as long as it is kept dry over the cold months. Plant in full sun (essential) in very free draining soil in the garden. A position on a sloping, south facing bank is ideal. Otherwise makes a dramatic house or conservatory plant, again in bright light. Grows slowly, and occasionally produces offsets which may be removed and planted as new plants. Stunning! MG.
