Hardy Japanese bamboo, withstanding -18c. Grows to 3-5m (9-15ft). Spreading root system, full sun to full shade. Canes are long and straight, growing very dense. Leaves can be up to a foot long with a shiny upper side. The canes also have long lasting sheaths, adding to the beauty of this bamboo. An all purpose bamboo, extremely popular for screening or hedging, isolated or corner plant, or even in pots. MG
