The classic hardy banana plant, suitable for growing in the house, conservatory, and even outdoors in the UK. Very fast growing, can achieve 6ft in one year from ground level! Protect in winter by cutting back leaves and covering trunk in hessian. Alternatively, simply let it die back and mulch the ground to protect the roots. The plant will grow back in Spring.
Provide plenty of water and fertilizer (our palm fertilizer is ideal) in Spring and Summer.
(Please note: Leaves on the larger sizes are removed for transit. They are simply too big and fragile to transport. In ideal circumstances, the Musa basjoo can produce a leaf per week, so it will grow back in no time!). MS
