The famous hardy blue palm from Mexico. Stiff, fan shaped leaves of a stunning pale blue sometimes almost white colour. In the wild it grows in arid canyons, sometimes with Washingtonia, and manages to survive in incredibly dry conditions. Suited for house, conservatory, or a sunny spot in the garden. Well drained soil, plenty of water in summer, rather drier in winter, when it can withstand some cold when larger. It is much happier and faster growing when planted in the ground. To around 10 feet. Fabulous! MG
