An attractive fern for the garden which occurs naturally in many parts of the UK and Northern Europe. It has fronds which resemble a fishes’ backbone, some flat and some erect. It needs slightly acid soil and a shady position and given these, will produce a beautiful display of glossy green fronds which are evergreen. MG.
