From Australia and south-east Asia, this lovely and rare cycad has flatly held leaves of a soft green colour and in time develops a stout trunk. Best in conservatory where it will enjoy humidity and warmth its requirements are modest: rich soil, water only from time to time and the occasional feed. Bright but indirect light preferred. It grows slowly but is interesting at all stages. A collector’s item slowly becoming more widely available.
